Here's Page 3, the finale to Scene 1! News in thirty minutes or so... Until then, check out my live video documentary.

Okay, here it is, the news. I just finished Page 3 at 12:56 AM on Saturday. I think that's a good thing. My rivals... I mean colleagues like working to put out a comic Sunday, Tuesday, and Thurday on the minute after 11:59 PM which is technically Midnight of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday respectively. I am a night person and the concept of the minute after 11:59 PM being the next day makes zero logic to me. You see, 12 AM is never the next day because I never wake up at 12 AM. The earliest I wake up at is 7:30 AM. That's probably because I never go to sleep before 12 AM. Calling the most productive part of my day not part of the day is silly. Because if it weren't part of this day, it wouldn't be so productive, would it? Some cartoonists insist in calling 12 AM the next day, but I will deviate from that just to suit myself. What this means to the reader who is stuck on other cartoonist's schedule is that instead of looking for a new comic on MWF, s/he should look for a new comic Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. But if you're like me, you'll look for a comic Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! Right?

What about more important stuff? I'm in a less depressed mood than I was Wednesday night. You see, Wednesday was Halloween and I was trick-or-treating in Anarchy-Online way past my deadline to start on Page 2. So page 2 looked like dog doo the first time around. Doh! Sorry for those who had to see it. Then I woke up late Thursday and made a better copy. Please bare with me while I get things going correctly. I'm actually a bit ashamed of how so much work on "Javantea's Fate" could result in such a terrible Scene 1. Less than a month ago, Scene 1 was going to be Scene 2 and visa-versa, but I decided that I had to go with the fight scene first. Unlike other cartoonists on the web, I am not too proud to go back and change it later on when I think of something. AltSci3d Manga Director/Producer makes it fast to change and redo. I will redo Scene 1 one of these days, but not yet. I want to put my attention into making Scene 2 the hook that will ensure that you readers come back every MWF (aka Tu, Th, Sat).

So what hook does Scene 2 have? A bit of politics, with full conversations, a bit of drama, and girls! Hehehe. The girls part is true, but they don't get a line of script yet. But I'll be sure to get some good lighting and some good clothing and amaze you pubescent teens. Wait a minute, I a pubescent teen... Well, you get the idea. I like drawing girls and I think that my 3-d girls will be pretty cool. I just hope they can be kawai-i like 2-d manga girls.

One thing that a person might wonder when reading "Javantea's Fate" is: "Who writes this stuff?" Well, I'm glad you asked. I'm Javantea, aka Joel R. Voss, aka John WTO 357. I'm an anarchist, pacifist, physicist, artist, nanotechnologist, and Christian among many other things. Some people may point out inconsistencies in my views, but I have good explanations for each. Write me an e-mail if you think you want to know what I'm thinking. So the question that directly spawns from the previous question is, "Do you really believe what you say in 'Javantea's Fate'?" The answer is yes. I wrote "Javantea's Fate" last year and my views have changed greatly since then, but the simple truths presented in "Javantea's Fate" remain constant. I had an itch a few weeks back to turn "Javantea's Fate" towards my more current views, but I decided that I shouldn't deviate from my original idea of "Javantea's Fate". If I try too hard to push my ideals, I'll lose it all. Actually, I decided that I'd save a few of my more current ideals for my next project. But that doesn't mean that "Javantea's Fate" will be any less ferverously presented. I do firmly believe in anarchy as a viable societal organization scheme.

What else is news? Oh no! I forgot to say how pleased I was with Page 3. I am pleased with Page 3. "Javantea's Fate" has gotten off to a rocky start, but that should have been expected. Page 3, on the other hand looks better. It's pretty simple, but effective. We have a roundhouse kick (it looks much better in full motion, perhaps I'll provide a Divx4 version of it sometime), a matrix-style punch combo done with averages (using Jasc Photo Shop Pro) of three 3d shots, Javantea's turnover of the fight, an info tag telling my political view, and a reference to AltSci's technical developments. Be sure to check the character's pages at the start and end of every scene because that's where the explanation of stuff will go. I really don't want to put large amounts of supporting text in the rant which people won't read as much as the character's Page. "Javantea's Fate" will be very text intensive, but that doesn't mean that the comic will necessarily.
